Robert R. Matheson loves building brand. Mr. Matheson’s vision and leadership in building successful brands is based solidly in his desire to develop functional and attractive products that drive a loyal customer base. Mr. Matheson established the consulting firm Earlyman, LLC in 1999 as a brand incubator and holding company. Earlyman’s primary goal is to develop and enhance brands through marketing and brand placement, achieved through a unique, five-part methodology developed by Mr. Matheson.
In 2002, Mr. Matheson founded and developed Robert Redd, LLC using the Earlyman Methodology for brand development. The lifestyle brand known as Robert Redd, or REDD, is an extension of Mr. Matheson’s veritable talent in brand development and marketing.
Today, Mr. Matheson is the Managing Partner of Robert Redd, LLC and is the guiding force behind the product development, marketing, operations and overall culture of the company. The Robert Redd lifestyle brand was developed to produce a line of apparel for ladies and gentlemen, characterized by higher quality and style.
Previous to starting Earlyman, LLC, Mr. Matheson was involved in educational software and corporate real estate. Most notably, Mr. Matheson served as the Director of Global Alliances at KMS, a knowledge management software company, where he implemented his skill by forging alliances between established technology brands.
Robert Redd, LLC has enjoyed considerable success thanks to the business acumen Mr. Matheson has generated as a creative director and through his significant experience in the field.
Mr. Matheson has a BA in History from George Mason University and studied Architecture at the University of Virginia. He attended the Episcopal High School of Alexandria, Virginia, where he was a letterman and a senior cheerleader. Mr. Matheson has contributed substantially to the Virginia community by coaching several sports teams from grade school to high school to college. He now lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his two Labrador Retrievers, Butch and Sundance.
More recently, Mr. Matheson has devoted a large portion of his free time to serving as a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Charlottesville/Albemarle County and on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.
