Robert Redd |
Early in the 20th century, Robert Redd ventured far south at the goading of his good friend, archeologist Hiram Bingham. Having recently re-discovered Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, Bingham was eager to trek again through the coursed, ashlar masonry, now with his favorite fellow adventurer, Redd. As they climbed farther into the ancient, granite ruins, Redd was awe-struck by the grand peaks of the Andes. However, perhaps his most impressive discovery of all was Peru’s legendary Pima cotton. This very same Pima Cotton is used in all garments produced by Robert Redd. This ultra-fine material is renowned for its light and luxuriously soft finish, yet it is also sturdy enough to endure a variety of gentlemanly endeavors.
